My Mistake

My first mistake was playing four other party poker tables while playing the blog tourney. I was trying to clear the bonuses on Party before the tourney started however didn't get her done. The positive thing that happened is I went on a tear and made back my buyins+2 that I lost on a horrible Saturday. Never play hungover is a sticky I should place on my monitor. It just ends up making you tilt when you get the donkey special bad beat put on you. Cleared the bonuses which was positive, however ended up putting too much money in the tourney on a low PP and ran into pocket Jacks. I did have a glorious suckout where I had AQ vs AK and hit a Q I believe on the turn. I thought the gods were on my side but they shut the door when I made that fatal mistake for a large portion of my 5000 chips and then ended up in push/fold mode. Finished 20th. It was strange that the only hands I ever seemed to get (with the exception of a set I hit early) were UTG. This sucks as when you raise you should only make it an amount where you can get away from a hand and not be too crippled. But then again you make it too small where the blinds are huge and then you are not protecting either. This is what I struggled with, that and the fact that I was on overload with all the party tables open. Congrats to Gracie, who I have not conversed with much, but from the indication on the other blogs really deserved to win.
I ended the night on party with a total donkey taking about a 30 dollar pot, limiting my good size heater. The guy calls a raise with 57o I believe...I had the hiltons. Flop was bricks with the exception that he hit a five. He calls down all my 3/4 pot size bets on every street to hit a five on the river as I put him all in. I have never seen play that bad in all my life. At the very least I am looking at a gutshot draw that came in or something of the sort. Oh well still a good day nonetheless. Gotta look at the positives not the negatives.
