DADI rebuy...other boring noteables

I've been rather bored with myself lately. I've been clearing bonuses and such trying to get the BR up there again and its a slow process. I'm playing almost exclusively limit which is unusual for me. Well what is unusual is to show a profit! Had a little downswing in there but not enough to kill the profits so its all good.

Trying to get some money together to go see the raising of the Stanley Cup banner on Oct 4th in Raleigh. I should be able to make it however flights aren't cheap.

Played in the DADI last night. Being the short stack my tens didn't hold up against AQ...really I don't know how someone can call off 75% of their stack with AQ but I guess he had me pegged. Myself facing an all in raise would fold immediately in that situation. Too many times I've either had my AQ go unimproved or been up against AK its not even funny. It was a good time although the rebuys got a little ridiculous.

I can't believe the state of poker in the US. From rumours abound it sounds as though it won't pass the senate but still its definately on the edge with a couple of sites already banning Americans. I'm not sure how this will affect everything...at low limits I really don't think it will all that much however if you want to move up it will definately have an effect.

I'm itching to get back into SNGs but will have to stick to bonus whoring until my br is more solid. The bad thing about SNGs is the bore factor the good thing is the fast build of the br if you go on a streak. Oh well boring post sorry will try better soon.

Ravaged at a hot home game and a nightclub

Last Friday was a gong show...It started out with Golden Tee live with a few bevies at around 3:00 pm and ended with a 5am breaky at your local greasy spoon diner. What happened in between was apparently a night of debauchery to an elite level. This included yours truly grinding on the dance floor and getting molested by a certain female coworker who happened to tag along because it was a going away for one of my buddies who I work with. If there was hair on my leg it was most certainly taken off with the constant rubbing by said coworker. She wore a top in which if she leaned forward I could most certainly have taken her whole boob in my mouth without much trouble. In my state I was in no mood to argue and it was really all very innocent as I kept it on the up and up. I'm not that type of guy if thats what you are thinking anyways. There were two other female coworkers there as well which were constantly bugging me about it and kept things in check including making sure she got dropped off first not last like she had requested (!).

Its not often you get me on a dance floor but from what I can recall I had some bad ass moves. It reminds me of the time I spent 3+ hours grinding with a hot asian on top of a speaker at a Calgary bar. I was hammered but obviously I am a descendant of MJ as some black dude came up to me and said in all seriousness that we looked like we should be on EC or some dance show. I thought he was joking at first but he was not because when I laughed in his face expecting him to do the same he looked at me weird and it killed the conversation fast. I managed a quick awkward thanks before he left obviously insulted by my lack of interest.

Was at a home game last night and it was one of those nights you hate home games...lost every coinflip. 55 vs k8o...ATs vs 55...88 vs KQ...etc etc...But was there to donk it up like always so I don't know why I'm upset. Could be the fact that luck was never even remotely close to me. However I did get AA, KK and JJ in three consecutive hands. Doubled up with the AA and KK, only stole blinds with the JJ however by then the double ups didn't matter when I get a big hand on the button only to get dwarfed by a BB special. UGGGGHHHHH.. Oh well at least my online game is A+++ lately and I have finally turned a profit at limit. I suck at limit normally but I have turned my game around and I think I know what it takes to be profitable. However when you miss out on 10 huge pots in a row that can get you down real fast. But it is oh so sweet when your T7s turns a flush in a huge 20BB pot and there are 4 or 5 players left in the hand.
My bankroll is steadily on an upward trend again so I hope that continues.
I'm really saddened I missed out on Vegas...Will try and get the next one for sure.

Home of the worst players in the world?

Ok so you got this Party Poker thing...yeah we know there are tons of fish in that sea. However a reload bonus at Paradise has got me wondering are players really this bad?
I got guys capping with J8o, T5o and various other beauties that would leave you either laughing or crying by the end of the hand. Depending on if they hit 2 pair, 4 card straights or flushes to crack your Aces or Kings. I actually had three aces beat by 33 on a four flush. Nothing I could bet out would protect the calling stations from drawing out here.
But its been fun and opened my eyes to a different type of game. And it seems as though if you think the players aren't loose enough at the rock garden (Stars) try out Paradise man it truly is.

Other than working out this weekend I did nothing, less than nothing other than getting hammered up on Friday and sharing some endo with a 51 year old guy. It is weird when you think you should grow up already and then meet someone like that who changes your perspective. The guy was 51 but looked 40 and acted 25. With the exception of the warden (his wife) calling him and telling him to get home he seemed like an OK dude.

Had a good showing last week in the DADI, ended up making the final table before Waffles bounced me yet again. Doesn't matter how I get in against that luckbox either way ahead, slightly behind or a coinflip he always knocks me out. I guess that's what happens when he is normally the only one left in the hand to call and always does.

I really wish I could head down to Vegas but work commitments won't allow it. Very sad I can't meet all my blogger friends. If I did win a WSOP seat I would find a way but I dont' see that happening right now. Even then I couldn't guarantee I could get away.

Enough rambling. But I do think that Britney Spears looked like a white trashy whore on that NBC interview however I think she looks hot naked on the cover of Bazaar, what gives??
Will the real Spears please stand up, uh nevermind.
